Wokingham Town Hall has been endlessly painted, drawn and photographed over the years but this is my version of it. The town hall is a very beautiful building and, for me, its gothic looking architecture comes into its own at night. As an artist I am constantly drawn to painting lights and reflections so I ventured out one rainy evening in the summer to get some photos for an atmospheric painting.

This piece is also extremely personal for me.  My husband, James, passed away last year at the age of 46. He was a Wokingham Town Councillor and incredibly proud of his role. I dragged this Sussex boy to Berkshire nearly 15 years ago and he wasted no time in making Wokingham his home. He was proud to be a Town Councillor and did everything he could to make the town a better place for everyone. He would often say I should paint the town hall and I wish I had done it when he was here. I have painted it now in his memory.

This piece was created using high quality acrylic on stretched primed canvas and varnished to protect it from sun damage and air bourne pollutants.  The painting sits beautifully in it's deep set  glossy white frame with a mottled finish, ready to hang.

The painting, including frame, measures 63cm x 63cm.

I also have signed, numbered and mounted Limited Edition prints of this painting (13"x13" inc mount).
